Office Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated person who can take responsibility for a wide range of administrative duties within a busy office. The Office Manager will be a central point of contact for everyone within the organisation. They will have an overview of many different things, an impeccable working knowledge of the business and its aims, an ability to organise and work within a team and pitch in wherever necessary to ensure the company operates smoothly.  The position will start at the new year.

We are a long standing family business with a friendly & creative working environment and a supportive team ethos alongside an expectation of commitment and motivation.  The business has private free parking and is located alongside Sheffield canal with bus and supertram links nearby.  

Duties of the role will include:

  • First point of call for customers in person and by phone.  
  • Day-to-day company administration as required
  • Organising and overseeing the smooth running of the company order book.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Invoicing customers   
  • Liaising with our accountants/book-keepers.
  • Purchasing office and workshop supplies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Arranging annual maintenance services.
  • Supporting the team IT issues and liaising with our IT support company as needed.
  • Managing our Health and Safety procedures
  • Managing our HR and staff training programming and administration
  • Dealing with other tasks as and when they arise 

We are looking for:

  • At least 2 years experience in an office support/management role
  • Professional telephone manner and excellent customer service skills
  • Good computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office suites
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Good budgeting skills
  • Adaptable and willing to be flexible according to team or business needs

Additional information:

Salary:  £27,000 - £31,000 depending on experience

Contract: permanent

Start date: January 4th 2022

Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm (8am start optional)
